 
"Some printed issues of Nawa-e-Tokyo"
Nawa-e-Tokyo is the first online magazine
in English/Urdu from Japan. We have started publishing an Urdu journal Nawa-e-Tokyo from
Japan. The first issue of the journal came out in the month of June, 1991 (Colourful 72
pages, Art paper).
The main objective of the publication is to represent Pakistani
community in Japan and to provide them with a source to keep in touch with the
affairs in the country as well as means for utilising their time when away from duty,
improving their knowledge and getting guided in Japan.
Currently we are facing some problems due to high price of printed
media, besides that peoples like to get upto date information. By virtue of this marketing
we plan to expand the area of the journal on to the world wide web.
There are thousands of Pakistanis living in Japan as well as in other
countries. They are sending millions of dollars to their families in Pakistan. But
unfortunately they do not have any forum from where they can approach to solve their
problems.
Nawa-e-Tokyo has been stopped publishing as a regular printed magazine.
From now on it will be available online on world wide web.
Why on the web:
Internet has become the fastest growing media in recent years. It is far more effective
and fast as compared to the conventional media. It is a global medium, it has no
boundaries and no specific audience. That's why we decided to launch our magazine on the
web so that more and more pakistanis could get benefit from it.
